CEG secures new tenant at Jackson House, Sale

As prominent site gets £6.5m makeover

CEG has secured a new tenant at Jackson House in Sale, bringing Bean, the independent coffee shop to the new look office development.
Jackson House is currently undergoing a £6.5million make-over, with an extension, striking contemporary exterior and a terrace with indoor and outdoor seating to complement the new food and drink outlet.

Bean is an independent coffee house, headquartered at CEG’s Exchange Station development in Liverpool.

Robert Morton, investment manager at CEG, said: “Bean Coffee’s expansion into Jackson House is fantastic for our tenants. We’ve been impressed with the quality of the roastery and deli range Bean provides at our Liverpool development and we were keen to see a similar food and drink offer at Jackson House.
“With the private gardens, indoor and outdoor seating, Bean will undoubtedly be a success at the comprehensively redesigned Jackson House when work completes in April.”

Jon Whyte, Bean Co-founder and MD, said: “The transformation at Jackson house is incredible. It will be a fantastic place to work, meet and socialise and we are looking forward to opening and expanding our collaboration with CEG. As restrictions are lifted, the experience of working back at the office, which has been missed by many, will be even better with great communal spaces for teams to enjoy.”

The 128,000 sq ft Jackson House occupies a prominent location in the heart of Sale. As part of the redevelopment, occupants will benefit from a new gym, meeting rooms, break out spaces, showers, bike lockers and electric vehicle charging points.

The building boasts the largest floor plates in South Manchester which will appeal to corporate occupiers wanting to be close to the tram links and facilities on the doorstep. The refurbishment will also deliver CEG’s Let Ready range of studio space for smaller and fast-growing businesses.

Six Let Ready Studios are being created, offering fully furnished workspace for teams of 8 to 14 people, complete with modern kitchens, dedicated meeting rooms or ready for the tenant’s bespoke fit out if preferred. They enable a company to move in, plug in and start work immediately. Grow-working space at its best, the individual studios offer companies the opportunity to be part of a wider thriving business community.

The offer is designed to provide a post-Covid solution to businesses needing easy-in, easy-out flexible leases with the ability to grow and contract on-site.
Jackson House is prominently located next to the Metrolink and Sale Railway Station and sits adjacent to M&S and close to other shops and facilities on the High Street. It is also minutes from the motorway network and offers a good parking ratio.

The building is walking distance from Sale railway station, the tram link and shops and facilities on the high street and just minutes’ drive from the M60 and Manchester airport.
