Social responsibility

At CEG, we’ve always understood that our work has an influence that goes beyond the improvement of the built environment. What we do has the potential to impact people’s lives positively too. So it is important to us that we share a strong sense of social responsibility across our company.

We are committed to increasing the benefits and reducing the impacts of our business and managed property portfolio by embracing the holistic principles of sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

We aim to achieve a positive impact on society while maximising the creation of shared value, not only for our business but also our employees, investors, partners and wider stakeholders including communities and local authorities.

Community.

At CEG we’re committed to developing strong, respectful and positive relationships with our partners and neighbours – our ambition is to be a transformational presence within the community through meaningful engagement, purposeful interventions and developing creative and innovative actions to promote social value throughout our business.

Forging Futures Campus.

We’ve launched a pioneering new skills centre at Kirkstall Forge. The Forging Futures Campus provides vocational training, site visits and work experience for students, local people and young people who are not in education, employment or training. We have staged construction themed activities, implemented an Employability & Skills course with a 90% success rate and opened up the Campus to local school pupils.
