Development Projects

The Group’s development portfolio comprises circa 1,537 acres of strategic development land and representing over £61.3 million in pre-planning value. Key strategic development opportunities include Kirkstall Forge Leeds, Cinderhill Derbyshire, Newton Kyme Boston Spa, Saighton Camp Chester, and The Beach at Carlyon Bay in Cornwall. The end value of the completed developments will be in excess of £1 billion. The Group’s strategy is to develop specific sites and hold the completed asset for the long term or if market conditions are appropriate dispose of others on receipt of planning permission.

The majority of sites acquired are brownfield and involve material risk resulting either from planning, environmental and/or technical issues. The group has the financial strength to acquire opportunities swiftly, without recourse to external funding and to adopt a long term strategy to the resolution of these risks and subsequent development of the schemes.

Our current developments focus on mixed use and incorporate a large element of commercial and residential space.
