CEG AGENCY COMPETITION

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Participation signifies acceptance of these terms and conditions, including the instructions to this prize draw which form part of these terms and conditions.
  2. Entry to the prize draw is open to all commercial or residential property agents in the UK.
  3. Any “agent” who completes a successful leasehold acquisition of any CEG industrial, office or retail property by the closing date (see paragraph 5) will be entitled to a ticket to the prize draw.  See paragraphs 16 and 17 for further details of eligibility to enter.
  4. Each “agent” is entitled to multiple tickets by completing additional acquisitions in the promotional period.  There are no limits to the number of tickets any “agent” can enter to increase their chances in the prize draw.
  5. Participating “agents” will be entitled to an entry ticket for every acquisition placed into solicitors hands from 1st February 2009 and providing the lease is completed by no later than midnight on 26th March 2010.
  6. CEG will from time to time provide details of all “agents” who have qualified for tickets to the prize draw on its website, which will be periodically updated as an “agent” may qualify for more tickets.  The participant hereby gives its irrevocable consent for its details to appear on the CEG website for this purpose.
  7. One winner will win £15,000 worth of holiday vouchers to be redeemed on a holiday or holidays of the winner’s choice. All holiday vouchers must be redeemed in full by 31st March 2011.
  8. The winning ticket will be drawn by an independent judge from all valid entries. The judge’s draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The prize draw will take place at CEG’s London offices on 31st March 2010 and all entrants will be invited to attend to witness the prize draw. The winner’s details will also be posted on CEG’s website.
  10. CEG shall not be liable in any way and does not accept any responsibility for any act or omission of any travel agent, operator or any other third party, for any delays or cancellation or unavailability of any service or facility or for any accident or injury, loss or damage to property or possessions, or for any other loss or liability whatsoever in connection with any holiday redeemed from the vouchers.
  11. It will be at the discretion of the “agent” as to whether the prize can be received in whole by an individual employee of the “agent” or whether it should be awarded to the “agent” company.
  12. Where the “agent” company receives the prize rather than an employee, it may request a cash equivalent alternative equal to £15,000, which may be granted by CEG but at the absolute discretion of the CEG board.
  13. The winner may be required to participate in publicity at CEG’s sole discretion, including the use of their name and geographic location.  The participant hereby gives its irrevocable consent for this purpose.
  14. The “agent” shall be fully responsible for complying with all RICS codes of conduct and other requirements in entering the prize draw and / or accepting the winning prize and shall indemnify CEG fully for its failure to comply with such requirements.
  15. The “agent” acknowledges that this promotion is designed to help raise awareness of CEG properties amongst “agents”.  The “agent” will not compromise its obligations to its clients and will provide impartial advice. The “agent” shall be fully responsible for keeping its clients informed of the prize draw and obtaining the client’s consent to participate and accept the winning prize. The “agent” shall indemnify CEG fully for its failure to comply with any part of this paragraph 15.
  16. An “agent” is any commercial or residential agency company acting on behalf of a tenant for the leasehold acquisition of any CEG premises. This will include “agents” who have been retained to advise and negotiate terms even if they were not involved in the initial property search.
  17. The competition is not open to existing commercial “agents” or “managing agents” already acting on behalf of CEG and who earn a letting commission fee from CEG in respect of lettings at a scheme unless they are successful in acting for a tenant in acquiring alternative premises at a property where they are not the retained CEG “agent” or managing “agent”.
  18. These terms shall be governed by English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
